RE-OPENING PHASE 2 POLICY
Practices are closed: This means NO spectators will be allowed in the building. This includes friends, lovers, husbands, and children. Parents can watch their children practice via the private Facebook parents’ group live feed.
We will no longer be able to provide the Beginner class with protective gear. All skaters starting beginner classes must have their own protective gear. We do have new and used gear for sale (we strongly suggest that you properly sanitize any used gear bought from the SSRD archives before use)
To be virtually fitted for protective gear contact us: Call or text 281.460.2240
If participating in non-socially distant activities during these times is too risky for your health or a loved ones health around you, please remain at home, until our health leaders of the world come up with a vaccine or a cure. We support your choices and don’t want anyone to feel pressured to come back to SSRD before they are ready.
Participants may wear masks or face coverings. They will not be mandatory. But please remember, masks can help prevent the spread but will not guarantee your safety from infection. If you or anyone in your family is at risk, and you must have your roller-skating practice, wear a mask. Corona Virus is thought to spread mainly from person to person. Between people who are in close contact with one another. Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Wearing a mask reduces the spread of these droplets.
If you are not feeling well, if you have a fever, if you have been exposed or in direct contact with someone who has been exposed to the virus, we ask that you stay home. If SSRD believes that you have ignored this request, we will ask you to leave practice and you will not be allowed back in the rink.

Our governor Greg Abbott posted, that youth, amateur sports, and professional sports can resume practice, and games without spectators, so we are on track to getting our league back to normal activities, but we are not going to rush things.
